SAFFRON WINS INDIAN RESTAURANT CHALLENGE 2009

Saffron Restaurant beat off stiff competition to win the first ever Indian Restaurant Challenge held in Earls court.

Competing in the Indian Restaurant Challenge alongside Saffron were teams from Andy Varma’s Vama, and Memsaheb in London. Despite arriving late to the competition, Saffron’s  performance was enough for judges Atul Kochhar, Cyrus Todiwala, Humayan Hussain, editor of Tandoori Magazine and CGC stalwart Matt Owens to award them the top prize.

Teams from both challenges were marked by both the judges and VIP diners on presentation, skill, hygiene, taste and balance of menus, team work, food, wine and customer service skills, and attitude
